Wash and Go Pups - Professional Dog Groomers - Serving Dundee, Angus & Fife
A Little bit about myself

My name is Anne Low, I have been interested in animals all my life.   I have worked in the Pet Trade for over 40 years.   In this time I have looked after an array of pets & livestock.   These include reptiles amphibians, invertebrates, parrots, softbills, raptors, horses & ponies, primates, tropical, coldwater & marine aquariums.

In the past I have bred Yorkshire Terries.   I have also bred & shown Persian & Birman Cats.

Wings 'N' Things opened in 1988.   At that time as the name suggest we stocked birds.   We also stocked small animals & fish.   However nowadays we do not keep livestock.

We still stock a large vartiety of pet foods & accessories, many of which are at discounted prices.   We are also happy to order any items in for our customers.

We also run puppy socialisation classes and pet dog training classes using hands off, force free training methods.

Wash and Go Pups

Wash and Go Pups was established in 1993. I trained for 2 years under the guidance of a professional & experienced dog groomer.   Since 1993 I have attended numerous seminars & competitons. specifically for groomers.   I have been placed in grooming competitions on numerous occasions.   As far as competitions go my greatest accolade was to become a finalist at The Scottish International Grooming Championship, 2000.   I won the Dreamtime Trophy for attaining 1st place in the creative styling class & 2nd place in the clippered & scissored terrier class at The Northern Groomers competition in 2004.

I am a member of the Pet Care Trust & British Dog Groomers Association.

I have completed 3 parts of The City & Guild's Qualification in Dog Grooming & hope to complete the final part next year.

I have successfully completed Nutrition Courses in cat & dog nutrition.   I am interested in alternative healthcare for pets.   In the past I have written articles for The Scottish Groomers' Association & The Grooming Times.

I also lecture part-time in the small animal unit at a local college.   I have lectured N.C., H.N.C. & H.N.D. classes covering Dog Grooming, Animal Behaviour, Applied Animal Behaviour, Ornamental Fishkeeping, Reptiles & Birds.

I have a qualification in Canine Psychology, sometimes run Puppy  Socialisation Classes & Pet Dog Training Classes in Tayport.   I believe in a "hands off", rewards based approach to dog training & have had excellent results in the past with this method.   I am currently studying with APDT http://www.apdt.co.uk/ for an advanced instructors qualification.
